Invitation for Voting Initiative for Smart Community Project Prize World Summit on Information Society in 2017

With great pleasure the MCMC would like to draw the attention of the Honorable Minister / Hon. Dato '/ Tuan / Sir / Madam concerning the above.

 

Please be informed, starting from the success of Malaysia won the Champion WSIS 2016 for category C2: Communication Infrastructure and the Information through Community initiative Smart Kemaman, the MCMC once had nominated a project undertaken under the Community initiative Smart Kota Belud of Security and Integrated Flood Network (SAIFON). Thank God, the project was nominated to the voting phase of the WSIS Prizes 2017.

 

In addition, there are 3 more projects under the initiative of other Intelligent Community also nominated to the voting phase. Details of all projects under the Intelligent Community nominated to the voting phase of the WSIS Prizes 2017 are as follows:

 

i. Category 1: Smart Postman - Catalyst of Local Improvement

ii.Category 2: Security and Integrated Flood Network

iii.Category 3: e-Magazine Development at Schools in Kemaman District, Terengganu, Malaysia

iv. Category 8: Address For All - Enabling e-Commerce Fulfillment to Everyone

 

MCMC would like to take this opportunity to invite Minister / Hon. Dato '/ Tuan / Sir / Madam, and all parties involved, local agencies and community leaders to vote for one project for each of the 18 categories contested. This process is to identify five (5) projects that receive the most votes in each category to qualify for the next round.

 

MCMC also seeks the cooperation of YB / Hon. Dato '/ Tuan / Sir / Madam to promote the community through website or social media YB / Hon. Dato '/ Tuan / Sir / Madam and agencies that Kemaman community can equally vote.

The deadline to complete the rating is 30 April 2017. Winners Prizes WSIS 2017 will be celebrated, recognized and awarded during the WSIS Prizes Award Ceremony 2017 on WSIS Forum 2017 to be held from 12 - 16 June 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.
